Seeing the light

A light and sound installation – titled Imagine Peace – commemorating the centenary of the Armistice has opened at Lichfield Cathedral, Staffs. Visitors enter the building via a Peace Woodland made up of 1,918 trees to watch light displays including 16 million falling leaves – one for every life lost in the First World War – and a Sistine Chapel projection on the cathedral ceiling.
