80mph storm injures 14 Backstreet Boys fans

At least 14 people have been taken to hospital after trusses holding up the entrance to an outdoor concert venue in Oklahoma where the Backstreet Boys were due to perform collapsed.

Winstar World Casino and Resort stated that the venue in Thackerville began an evacuation at about 5pm on Saturday when lightning was reported four miles away.

Around 150 of the 12,000 audience reportedly refused to leave and when the storm hit with 70-80mph winds, it knocked over the trusses and the entrance collapsed on them.
