The first pictures have emerged of Taron Egerton, left, the Welsh actor, playing Elton John in full costume while filming the biopic Rocketman.

It isn’t the first time that the Kingsman actor has been tasked with imitating the Candle in the Wind singer. In the 2016 animated film Sing, Egerton blasted out I’m Still Standing ... while voicing an animated gorilla.
