Andrew Murray

Seconded to Mr Corbyn’s office from Unite, where he was chief of staff, Mr Murray is a long-term ally of the Labour leader who spent years in the Communist Party and a decade leading the Stop the War Coalition. He is the son of stockbroker Peter Drummond-murray of Mastrick, the former Slains Pursuivant. His mother was the Hon Barbara Mary Hope, a daughter of the 2nd Baron Rankeillour. He went to Worth School, a Benedictine boarding school in Sussex.
