Spain returns migrants who stormed enclave

Spain has expelled 116 Moroccan migrants who stormed the border fence at its Ceuta enclave in North Africa on Wednesday.

Hundreds had attempted to get over the highly fortified border and 118 made it on to Spanish soil. Some of them threw battery acid at police which left seven officers with burns.

Police identified the group and gave them legal and medical help before starting the process of ejecting them, the interior ministry said. Two will be allowed to stay as they are minors.
