GSK Indian subsidiary rises

Shares in Glaxosmithkline Consumer Healthcare rose by as much as 8.3pc after the parent company asked for bids at the Indian branch. The parent company owns 72.5pc of the subsidiary, which makes and sells consumer and health products such as Horlicks and Brylcream. The branch employs 4,000 people.
