Switched on Brussels spends £800,000 on TVS

Brussels is thought to have spent at least £800,000 in taxpayers’ money on 751 new televisions - one for every MEP. The 43in LG televisions cost about £530 each and have been fitted in MEPS’ Brussels offices, even British ones despite the fact they will leave the European Parliament next March. The parliament was unable to comment on the spending, despite being given more than 48 hours.
