Asylum seeker ‘too girlish’ to be gay

A 27-year-old Iraqi had his asylum application rejected by officials in Austria who said he was a fake because he was “too girlish”.

The decision comes after an Afghan was turned down for asylum in the country as his mannerisms “weren’t gay enough”.

Rights groups have criticised the rulings.
