Living with LEDS

SIR – As an elderly person who can no longer replace ceiling-height bulbs, I had them all changed to the appropriate strength LED bulbs (Letters, August 23) and am delighted with the results.

My ageing eyes now have good lights to see with, and the promised longevity of the bulbs means I don’t have to worry about replacements.

SIR – I live in a converted barn in south Cumbria and need lights on all day. So I have converted all my light bulbs to LEDS and estimate that I am saving £5 a month.
