Rescue mission

-

Anxious passengers on a cruise ship watch the rescue of three fishermen from a life raft in the North Sea, above. The search for two of their colleagues ended yesterday when their bodies were retrieved by the coastguard. Their fishing boat sank about 25 miles north-east of Great Yarmouth on Saturday. The crew of the Pacific Princess rescued the other men, who had been adrift in a life raft for four hours, after a flare was spotted. Paul Garrod, from Caister Lifeboat, said: “They must have gone down very quickly as no mayday call was received. It’s quite unusual.”
