Teacher who bragged about sex is banned

A teacher who bragged in earshot of pupils about how many women he had slept with has been struck off.

Luke Farrant, 26, boasted to staff and said in front of pupils: “I had loads of girls this week, a different one on every night of the week.”

Farrant also made sexually explicit comments to staff, asking one “are you horny”, grabbed a colleague’s bottom and tried to kiss another.

He bombarded at least two members of staff at the Jubilee School in Waterlooville, Hampshire, with inappropriate Snapchat texts and sent messages to a pupil on Facebook, saying: “I think you’re hot”.

A Teaching Regulation Authority disciplinary panel said Farrant was guilty of unacceptable professional conduct between September and December 2016.

The panel concluded that his conduct had been sexually motivated and ruled that he should not be allowed to teach again.

Farrant did not attend the hearing in Coventry and was not represented.
