Zimbabwe president sworn in
EMMERSON MNANGAGWA called on Zimbabweans to unify under his leadership as he was inaugurated as president yesterday for the second time in nine months.
Mr Mnangagwa, 75, took the oath of office in Harare more than three weeks after he narrowly won Zimbabwe’s first presidential election without Robert Mugabe on the ballot.
“Now is the time for us all to unite as a nation and grow our economy,” he said.
Opposition leader Nelson Chamisa, who claims the vote was rigged, refused to attend.
