Strings attached

SIR – Roger Gale from the Post Office (Letters, August 24) says that he is “very sorry” if one of your readers was told that “twine could not be used” to secure a parcel. Perhaps he might also contact the post office branch in Abergavenny where my husband had the same experience. The string was promptly cut off by the employee who served him. Gwyneth Churchward
