Riz Ahmed has proved that he is one of Britain’s most exciting and versatile actors in recent years, with star turns in Hollywood blockbusters such as Jason Bourne and Star Wars film Rogue One, as well as a riveting performance in the Sky Atlantic series The Night Of. And although his new BBC drama series Englistan is still in the early development stages, this interview should whet the appetite. Here Nikki Bedi talks to the actor and musician about growing up as the son of Pakistani immigrants in Wembley, London, his career and his role in the forthcoming Marvel film Venom which also stars Tom Hardy and Michelle Williams.
