British Thai cave rescue expert to sue Musk
The British expert who coordinated the cave rescue of 12 Thai children has told Elon Musk he is preparing to sue him after the Tesla founder called him a “pedo guy” on Twitter.
The billionaire tweeted the insult after Vernon Unsworth, 63, rejected his offer of a submarine to assist in the rescue, calling it a “PR stunt”.
Mr Musk deleted the tweet and apologised, but he reignited the controversy on Tuesday by mocking Mr Unsworth for not following up on his threat to take legal action.
Yesterday, it emerged that Mr Unsworth’s lawyers had in fact sent Mr Musk a letter on Aug 6, informing him of their intention to sue.
