Food and drink exports surge

Food and drink exports from the UK jumped 5.1pc to £10.68bn in the first half of the year. The Food and Drink Federation noted that exports to EU countries grew faster than those to non-eu countries, at 7.3pc versus 1.6pc. It called for more Government support for the industry after Brexit next year.
