Mine operator to miss repayment

Aim-listed Metals Exploration has sought a waiver from its lenders after confirming it would not make a capital repayment of $20m (£15m) due on Aug 31. The company, which operates a gold mine in the Philippines, is seeking to refinance its debt. It said it would meet a $430,000 interest payment.
