Paedophile ‘sting’ case thrown out by judge

-

A judge threw out a case against a man who was caught in a paedophile sting because the vigilante initiated the contact. A man calling himself Danny Catcher posed online as a 14-year-old girl called “Louise”, using a picture of his ex-girlfriend.

Isaac Slusalarczyk, 22, contacted “Louise” but Mr Catcher initiated the sexual discussion as he wrote in messages: “I want to lose my v.”

Mr Slusalarczyk was arrested on July 17 last year in Bath. He was accused of attempting to meet a child following grooming. In his ruling at Bristol Crown Court, Judge Peter Blair QC discharged jurors after they began asking him about entrapment.
