Arla to pay out all profits to farmers

The board of dairy firm Arla Foods has proposed paying out its entire 2018 profit to farmers, many of whom are struggling following this summer’s drought across Europe. It said that farmers were facing a “tough financial situation” amid “extraordinary” conditions. Annual profit is expected to be up to €310m (£280m).
