Prophet cartoon contest called off

Thousands of hard-line Islamists left peacefully after ending a protest march near Islamabad, Pakistan, yesterday following the cancellation of a Prophet Muhammad cartoon contest by Geert Wilders, the Dutch anti-muslim politician.

It came hours after the far-right politician said he had cancelled the contest due to death threats and concerns that other people could be put at risk.
