The Angels’ Share (2012)
Robbie (Paul Brannigan) is one of a group of young offenders who work in a court-mandated “community payback scheme”. After a taste of whisky from the distillery he’s working at, he and his counterparts form a plan to liberate a barrel and sell it, giving all four of them enough money to clear their debts. From director Ken Loach, this is British comedy at its best; cask strength, unfiltered and neat.
