Spiced Honey is such a sweet colour

Dulux has named “Spiced Honey” as its Colour of the Year as well as predicting an “optimistic” 2019.

The paint brand said the shade reflected a newfound resilience following the “unsettling nature” of this year. Marianne Shillingford, Dulux’s UK creative director, said: “Spiced Honey is a warm caramel with notes of amber that perfectly reflects our new sense of optimism and resilience in 2019.

“Paired with off-whites and a dollop of deepest inky ‘Cobalt Night’, Spiced Honey offers … a look that is as sweet and delicious as honey on hot buttered toast.”

The Colour of the Year is said to sum up the ‘universal mood of the moment’
