Croak and dagger

This clever frog is using its camouflaged skin to hide in fallen leaves so that it can remain undetected by predators. The rare Amazonian horned frog, which has a mouth wider than the length of its body, sits completely still while humans and predators move around it. Chien Lee, the photographer, said: “We were searching for all sorts of nocturnal creatures in the rainforest, but because these frogs are so rarely encountered, we didn’t have much confidence that we would find one.”
