Around 58 per cent of British workers were offered some sort of flexible working arrangement within the last year. But were they all working from home in their pyjamas, saving their two “smart” outfits for days when they actually went outside to see people? “I work at home, in cafes or at my sister’s house, as she has a big kitchen with plenty of people who can taste-test,” says chef Antonina Parker. “I can be scruffy and low key wearing jeans and T-shirt in the kitchen and have to change to something smart and slick, like a Ganni dress, for meetings.
