Dying man had wallet stolen at rail station
A thief stole a wallet belonging to a dying man as he suffered a heart attack on a train station platform, police have revealed.
David Lovett, 66, from Worthing, West Sussex, was making his way home from a rock concert in Hastings when he died on Aug 28. Sussex Police believe they have CCTV images of a man rifling through his belongings while he was supported by two women.
The missing wallet meant authorities found it difficult to identify him and his family were only informed three days later. Rich Lovett, his son, said: “It’s the lowest of the low.”
