-

A footballer given a £96,425 motoring fine by mistake has had it cut to £2,301.

Mario Lemina, 25, the Southampton midfielder, incurred the UK’S biggest fine for speeding after his car broke the limit three times. Speeding fines can now be linked to a driver’s wage. But Lemina said a relative may have been driving and only admitted failing to reveal their identity – an offence with limited fines.
