Ready for the riverbank

Alex Raeder, the National Trust conservation manager, observes one of 150 specially-bred water voles that will be reintroduced at six sites across the trust’s Holnicote Estate in Exmoor. Water vole numbers have declined due to predators and a loss of habitats.
