Hurrah for a royal wedding knees-up that’s fun, not fusty

Possibly the only fun part of being a royal would be the ability to invite random A-listers to your wedding – and know they’re craven enough to come. I’d stick Bill Clinton on the list, Sophia Loren (even though she’d upstage me and every bride) and Jack Nicholson, whom I’d run off with halfway through the ceremony.

And what a relief it must be for the bride to know that her family is no longer anywhere near the most dysfunctio­nal in royal circles.
