The former home of Isaac Singer, the sewing machine entrepreneur, and an old ballet school said to have been a training camp for terrorists, are among Britain’s most endangered buildings.
The Victorian Society has revealed the top 10 buildings “crying out” to be saved as part of its list of Victorian and Edwardian buildings at risk. TV star Griff Rhys Jones, the society president, told the BBC: “Every building is crying out for redevelopment. These are pieces of the history of the Victorian era and its industrial, spiritual and cultural beliefs.”
