Ex-president of Argentina faces arrest over bribes
Cristina Fernandez, the former Argentinan president, is facing arrest for allegedly heading a corruption scheme that collected bribes in exchange for public work contracts.
Federal Judge Claudio Bonadio has asked that Ms Fernandez be taken into custody and for authorities to seize about $100million, according to Argentina’s judicial news agency.
Ms Fernandez, 65, is currently a senator, a post that grants her immunity from prosecution.
She denies any wrongdoing
