Kindle kindness

SIR – I was interested in the charges made by Arriva Trains Wales for lost property (report, September 15).

My wife lost a Kindle on a Megabus from London to Cardiff. We reported the loss but were not optimistic. Two weeks later Megabus rang to say they had found it and would post it.

I offered to pay for postage but was told to donate something to charity.
