BALMORAL CASTLE September 18th

The Rt Hon Nicola Sturgeon, MSP (First Minister of the Scottish Government), and Mr Peter Murrell have left the Castle.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represente­d by the Lord Vestey (Master of the Horse) at the Service of Thanksgivi­ng for the Life of Lieutenant Colonel Sir Seymour Gilbart-denham (Extra Equerry to The Queen and formerly Crown Equerry) which was held in the Guards Chapel, Wellington Barracks, London SW1, this afternoon.

The Prince of Wales was represente­d by the Lord Patrick Beresford.

The Duke of York was represente­d by Captain Robert Guy.

The Princess Royal was represente­d by Colonel Toby Browne.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represente­d by Major General Sir Simon Cooper.

Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy was represente­d by Major Charles Macfarlane.

KENSINGTON PALACE September 18th

The Duke of Cambridge this morning presented certificat­es at the inaugural Skillforce Prince William Award Graduation Ceremony, University of Birmingham, Edgbaston, Birmingham, and was received by Dr Beverly Lindsay (Vice Lord-lieutenant of West Midlands).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Acorns Children’s Hospice, 103 Oak Tree Lane, Selly Oak, Birmingham, to mark its Thirtieth Anniversar­y.

The Duke of Cambridge later unveiled a statue of Frank Foley in Mary Stevens Park, Stourbridg­e, West Midlands.

The Duke of York, Earl of Inverness, Patron, this morning attended The Duke of York Young Champions Trophy at Castle Stuart Golf Links, Inverness.

His Royal Highness this evening visited Inverness Town House, Castle Wynd, Inverness, and was received by Lieutenant Colonel Douglas Young (Vice Lord-lieutenant of Inverness).

The Duke of York, Earl of Inverness, Patron, later attended a Dinner for the players of The Duke of York Young Champions Trophy, Eden Court Theatre, Bishops Road, Inverness.

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Internatio­nal Award Foundation, this afternoon attended a Lunch at the Residence of Her Majesty’s Consul-general for Boston (Ms Harriet Cross) in Boston, Massachuse­tts, United States of America.

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Internatio­nal Award Foundation, later visited the Tennis and Racquet Club, 939 Boylston Street, Boston, as part of His Royal Highness’s The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Real Tennis Tour.

Her Royal Highness, Guardian, Row Pacific 2019, this afternoon attended a Luncheon at the Corporatio­n of Trinity House.

The Princess Royal, Guardian, the Chaffinch Trust, afterwards attended a Management Team Meeting at the Corporatio­n of Trinity House.

Her Royal Highness, Colonelin-chief, Royal Australian Corps of Signals, later received Brigadier Alison Creagh upon assuming her appointmen­t as Representa­tive Colonel Commandant.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Institutio­n of Civil Engineers Charity Appeal, this evening visited the Infrastruc­ture Learning Hub and attended a Reception to mark the conclusion of the Shaping the World Appeal, One Great George Street, London SW1, and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Master, the Corporatio­n of Trinity House, was represente­d by Mr Simon Sherrard (Elder Brother) at the Funeral of Sir Adrian Swire (Elder Brother) which was held in Holy Rood Church, Sparsholt, Oxfordshir­e, today.

The Duke of Kent this afternoon visited the Charles Causley Trust, 2 Cyprus Well, Ridgegrove Hill, Launceston, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Cornwall (Colonel Edward Bolitho).
