Police dog that killed woman bit 10 people

♦a police dog that attacked a pensioner who later died had previously bitten 10 people, an inquest heard.

Dano, a 7st German shepherd, bit the other people, one on the face, while with another force.

The officer who arranged the dog’s transfer to Cleveland Police said if he had known about the facial bite, he may not have gone to Hampshire and Thames Valley police kennels to view it. Irene Collins, 73, was repeatedly bitten in her kitchen in Middlesbrough, in July 2014, dying four days later. The inquest continues.
