Tsk, tsk, Tusk – Brexit really is no joke

Who do you follow on Instagram? Zoella? Taylor Swift? Beyoncé? Donald Tusk? Don’t laugh at the back, because the president of the European Council is a fan of the photo-sharing site, most recently using it to mock Theresa May. Mr Tusk posted a picture of him offering her a piece of cake at the Salzburg Summit, alongside the caption: “Sorry, no cherries”. Ha. Ha ha.

Sorry, but if I’m on Instagram, I want positivity, sunsets and coffee art

and pictures of what my mates are having for lunch. I do not want to see senior politician­s wasting their time making weak jokes at the expense of other senior politician­s. That’s everyone on Twitter’s job. This is not a social media post to gain likes. It is not funny.

Wherever one stands on Brexit, I am sure we can all agree that we’d like the people involved in implementi­ng it to start taking it seriously.
