Lloyd’s of London returns to profit

Lloyd’s of London has bounced back to profit for the first half of 2018 following one of the costliest years for natural catastrophes in the past decade. The insurance market announced a profit of £600m in the six months to June, after a £2bn loss last year. Despite returning to profit, the half-year figures have halved compared with the same period the previous year.
