Kelly’s heroes

Double Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes was made an Honorary Colonel of the Royal Armoured Corps Training Regiment at its home in Bovington, Dorset, yesterday. Dame Kelly joined the Army at 17 as a lorry driver in the Women’s Royal Army Corps before becoming an Army physical training instructor and being attached to the Royal Army Physical Training Corps.
