BBC should leave Dr Who in its Saturday slot

sir – For years, as children and then as adults, we all sat down to watch Dr Who on a Saturday evening. It was great family viewing, and often the highlight of the TV week.

The BBC, in its wisdom, has scheduled the new series to be shown on Sunday evenings. Do these people not have children? Do they not realise that Sunday evening is a time for getting ready for school, finishing off homework, getting PE kit together, washing hair and other such activities?

I can foresee havoc in many households.
