STELLA JEAN ISN’T SKIRTING AROUND

-

For those of us who love separates, the past few seasons have been anxious times. The jumper and blouse have survived. But skirts have been increasingly scarce, which is bad news for anyone who considers them a neutral building block in a versatile wardrobe. Stella Jean is one of many designers nursing them back to health. Hers were full and exuberantly patterned – not obviously neutral, but never underestimate how well a plain crisp cotton shirt goes with everything. Alternatively, layer on more patterns. Clash with conviction and it always looks deliberate.
