Tourist dies after elephant attack

Zimbabwe’s authorities say an elephant has trampled a German tourist while she tried to take photos of it.

Tinashe Farawo, a government spokesman, said the woman died just hours after the trampling in Mana Pools National Park on Wednesday.

The 49-year-old was among a group of tourists that encountered a herd of elephants upon entering the park, Mrs Farawo said.
