Arrests made over death of Slovak journalist

Slovak police arrested several people suspected of involvement in the murder of journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancée, Martina Kušnírová, both 27, in February, the family’s lawyer said yesterday. Kuciak had been investigating links between Slovak politicians and the Mafia when the couple were found shot dead at home near Bratislava, plunging the country into crisis and sparking mass protests.
