Mummy minder

Ruth Davidson’s fiancée, Jen Wilson, accompanied her yesterday to the UK Tory conference for the first time in her self-appointed role as “bodyguard and minder”. The heavily-pregnant Scottish Tory leader told The Daily Telegraph that Ms Wilson insisted on attending the Birmingham gathering “to make sure that everything is fine” with their baby, which is due in less than five weeks. “She is trying to keep an eye on me to make sure I don’t overdo things. I have a bit of a tendency to think I can do everything,” said Ms Davidson.
