Tories to scrap increase in fuel duty
Fuel duty will be frozen for the ninth consecutive year, Theresa May will announce in her conference speech.
She will say that Philip Hammond will scrap plans to raise the levy by 2p a litre in his budget later this month.
In her speech, Mrs May will say to hard-working people that the Government is “on their side”.
The Chancellor said he had found money to pay for the policy.
