Revealed, the curse of the Tower ravens

♦resident ravens at the Tower of London swear at visiting children, the Beefeater in charge of them has said.

Christopher Skaife, Ravenmaster at the Tower since 2011, said the misunderstood birds were intelligent, ferocious – and knew some foul language.

His tales of about the birds appear in his new book, The Ravenmaster: My Life with the Ravens at the Tower of London.

“There is nothing more embarrassing than walking around the Tower with [schoolchildren] and having a raven saying: ‘B----r off! B----r off!’” said Mr Skaife.
