Missing boy had fallen through factory roof

A missing nine-year-old boy lay seriously injured for hours after falling through a factory roof.

Leon Langford went missing on Sunday after he failed to return home with friends. He was last seen at about 4pm near his home in Blackburn, but workers at a factory in the town discovered him on the floor of the premises yesterday morning.

Police were called at about 8am and the boy was taken to Alder Hey hospital in Liverpool for treatment.

Yesterday his father, Dave Langford, posted on his Facebook page thanks to members of the public for their help.
