Tributes for runners who died after race
Tributes have been paid to the two runners who died after collapsing at the finishing line of the Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday.
Ben Mcdonald, 25, and Dean Fletcher, 32, suffered cardiac arrests after taking part in the annual race, which attracted 25,000 competitors.
It was the first time that Mr Mcdonald, from the Vale of Glamorgan, had taken part, while Mr Fletcher, from Exeter, chose to run for the second time in the city where he had met his wife, Katie. Organisers said: “Ben grasped the challenge of the half marathon with typical positivity.”
