12,000 evacuated in arms depot fire

More than 12,000 people were safely evacuated yesterday after ammunition stored at a depot in northern Ukraine began exploding and set off a large fire.

Security services said they were investigating “possible sabotage” in the incident, which occurred at a defence ministry depot near the village of Druzhba.
