SIR – The price for unleaded petrol at a Shell filling station in this area is around 129p per litre, yet at a service station on the M1 in Yorkshire the same fuel is priced at 150p per litre.

What a shocking exploitation of motorists. I seem to remember a minister telling us a few years ago that “something would be done” to control fuel prices at motorway service stations. I did not realise that by “something” he actually meant “nothing”. Terry Lloyd
