Cadets pictured with Tommy Robinson to be investigated
♦ British Army cadets are facing an investigation by their superiors after posing for a picture with Tommy Robinson, the founder of the English Defence League, and chanting his name.
The anti-muslim activist posted images and a video of the trainees on his Facebook page.
An Army spokesman said they are “investigating the circumstances” of the image.
Maj Gen Rupert Jones said: “The British Army is absolutely clear that we do not tolerate extremist views. I am very confident that is a widely held position across the Army. Much of the reaction to this incident from our people tells you that.”
