Pope: abortion is like ‘hiring a contract killer’

Pope Francis has likened abortion to “hiring a contract killer” in some of his strongest remarks yet on the subject. He said: “Is it fair to hire a contract killer to solve a problem? We cannot take out a human being, even if it is small.” His remarks will be welcomed by some Catholics in the US, where a political row rages over the issue.
