Taylor Swift is congratulated after winning Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards held in the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles yesterday. The singer, who earlier this week endorsed Democrat party candidates in her home state of Tennessee in next month’s midterm elections, used her acceptance speech to encourage her fans to vote.
